Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Revenue Integrity Liaison plays an important role tasked with improving revenue results by taking a global view of clinical and financial processes to help bridge the gap between clinical operations and revenue cycle needs. This position works collaboratively between various revenue cycle workgroups, information systems and clinical departments to ensure identified issues and improvement opportunities are understood and action plans are effectively progressed and ultimately completed.

    • The Revenue Integrity Liaison must possess a clear understanding of the hospital revenue cycle as well as be able to understand, evaluate, and assist in clinical process improvement related to revenue capture and denial prevention.  Due to its service focus and project management emphasis, this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, well-developed analytic and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while influencing, but not directly managing the work of others.  The individual must be able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders while promoting positive and effective working relations.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Field, Healthcare Administration, Business/Finance, or similar focus OR 10 years of related experience.
    • Experience
      • Required: Minimum of 2 years in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or in a clinical role with a business focus.
    • Skills
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present and interact with all levels of the organization.
      • Ability to work collaboratively while promoting positive and effective working relations.
      • Ability to influence the progression of tasks while not directly managing the work of others.
      • Ability to understand clinical terms and processes and how they impact the revenue cycle.
      • Ability to inform and educate others on procedures and concepts.
      • Highly productive in a self-directed manner with ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, track status efficiently, and demonstrate defensible judgement in making independent decisions.  
      • Strong understanding of the hospital revenue cycle.
      • Strong analytical skills to analyze processes and the interplay of operations and the effect on outcomes.
      • Effective time management and prioritization skills to permit handling of a large workload across multiple projects and multiple departments.
      • Highly proficient in all aspects of the PC and standard applications; in particular Excel, Word, and Outlook.
