Summary

  • Job Summary
    • Provides evaluation, direction and application of licensed nursing services to carry out the plan of care and treatment primarily in the homes of CoxHealth at Home clients under the direction/supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, and within the realm of accepted standards of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an approved License Practical Nursing program
    • Experience
      • Required: Minimum of three (3) months experience as practical/vocational nurse within the last three (3) years in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting.
      • Preferred: One (1) year experience in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting.
    • Skills
      • Ability to demonstrate good nursing judgment with minimum supervision.
      • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, families, co-workers, and physicians, and exhibit an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly.
      • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
      • Access to reliable transportation as required.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: MO LPN License
      • Required: Successful completion of competency testing
      • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
      • Required: Active Driver's License
