Summary

​​​​​Interface Producation Support Analyst I:
Job Summary
  • The Interface Production Support Systems Analyst is responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HL7 interfaces between systems, including data mapping, translation, and integration. They work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure timely resolution of production support issues and optimization of interface performance.  The Information Technology Interface Production Support Systems Analyst will also be responsible for providing technical support to end-users and working with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Job Requirements
  • Education
  • Preferred: Associate or Higher degree in computer science, or a related field. 
  • Experience
  • Required: 2 years of interface experience in healthcare and/or IT production support, with a focus on application support, integration, and data translation. 
  • Skills
  • Ability to manage and monitor interfaces using interface engines, such as Openlink, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, or Openengine. 
  • Experience in data mapping, translation, and transformation between different healthcare systems. 
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows and terminology, such as orders, results, medications, and diagnoses. 
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving interface-related issues, such as connectivity, data integrity, or performance. 
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, or FTP.  
  • Ability to document interface specifications, configurations, and changes, and to follow change management processes. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Experience with incident management tools and processes. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure. 
  • Ability to interact with other teams and perform interface testing as needed. 
  • Understanding of security concepts, such as SSL/TLS, VPN and firewalls. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM. 
  • Experience in writing and executing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.

  • Solid knowledge of interface engines, and ability to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot complex interfaces.

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience
  • Required: 7-10 years of experience in healthcare IT or interface development, with proven experience in leading interface production support teams.
  • Skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in managing and leading interface production support teams, and ability to provide direction, guidance, and feedback.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex interfaces, and ability to manage interface development projects.
