Summary

Job Summary
- The Asset Specialist performs duties directly involved with the transport of equipment to and from departments / units throughout the hospital. Interacts with nursing personnel to assure continuance of equipment through asset coordination process. Assumes responsibility for equipment, and functions. Assists in the planning, implementation and oversight of equipment asset tracking and utilization. Works in collaboration with multiple departments; including Nursing, Transport, Central Stores and BioMed. Responsible to ensure equipment and tag information is entered into the database in a consistent manner. Assists in monitoring equipment par levels. Monitors utilization of equipment. Assists with integration of asset tracking software and equipment preventive maintenance software.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - Required: Associates in Healthcare, business, engineering or other relevant field OR 3 years of hospital experience.
  - Preferred: Bachelors
- Experience
  - Required: Experience in data entry and spreadsheet use.
  - Preferred: 1-2 years related healthcare experience
- Skills
  - Analytical skills
  - Database skills
  - Strong commitment to teamwork
  - Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
  - N/A
