Radiation Therapist - Branson Radiation Oncology

Summary

  • Job Summary
    • Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologists, the Radiation Therapist delivers radiation treatments. Performs radiation treatment planning simulations and creates custom immobilization devices for radiation patients. Perform daily output calibration checks on the linear accelerator and CT simulator.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiation Therapy.
      • Preferred: Completed 24 month course in Radiologic Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience
      • Preferred: 3 years as a radiation therapist
    • Skills
      • Ability to operate treatment accelerators (i.e. SRS, SBRT, IGRT and CT SIM).
      • Knowledge of radiation dosimetry.
      • Knowledge of simulation procedures.
      • Knowledge of brachytherapy procedures.
      • Able to accurately interpret physician prescription, correctly delivering ionizing radiation per prescription.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: A.R.R.T.- R.T.(T). or registration obtained within 6 months of hire
      • Preferred: A.R.R.T.- R.T.(R).
