Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Clinical Informaticist III position coordinates the alignment of department requirements to organization’s mission and strategic plan related to regulatory and other assigned functions. Responsible for being the Project Manager and subject matter expert on at least one high-level EHR (Electronic Health Record) program and/or function. Collects data from EHR for aggregation, analysis and reporting to stakeholders as well as reporting to federal and state agencies to qualify for regulatory programs. Able to decipher program and government regulations related to data use and management. Develop strategies and facilitate action plans to improve program effectiveness. Create education platform to educate appropriate stakeholders up to and including high level, physician led committees. Collaborate with other internal departments to identify mutual areas of analysis and reporting.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare or related field.
      • Preferred: Master's Degree
    • Experience
      • |Required: 3 years’ experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR), data analysis, and/or pro
      • iding regulatory training/education |Preferred: 4 years’ experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) as it relates to physician office operation and effecti
      • eness. |1 to 2 years’ experience in the reporting and attestation processes as outlined by go
      • ernment regulations and payor and organization requirements strongly preferred.
    • Skills
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills and discipline to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines
      • Ability to evaluate and present data to other professionals/non-professionals, including Physicians, in a clear concise manner.
      • Advanced Excel and/or Tableau proficiency
      • Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports for both internal and external stakeholders including contracted outside vendors per department requirements.
      • Proficient in the principles of analytical assessment and creative problem solving.
      • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement fundamentals.
      • Knowledge of hospital systems and organizational relationships.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Preferred: Clinical Licensure or Certification
