Job Summary
  • The IT Revenue Cycle Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Revenue Cycle IT Systems through participation in various projects, change management, and incident management activities. The role will involve collaborating with technical and operational teams to ensure system integrations and interfaces are operating correctly and data integrity is maintained. This also includes working closely with Revenue Cycle and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. The systems engineer must have a thorough understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, as well as technical expertise in the relevant systems and technologies.
Job Requirements
  • Education
  • Required: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
  • Required: 4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle and IT support, including experience with patient scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and post claims processing.
  • Skills
  • Revenue Cycle areas of focus include Patient Access, Revenue Management, Document Imaging, and Core & Integration
  • Comprehensive expertise in at least one main revenue cycle area
    • Demonstrated in-depth application, workflow, and integration knowledge
    • Proven ability to configure applications to successfully integrate functionality or data
    • Operate as the subject matter expert related to projects and strategic initiatives
  • Functional knowledge of one supporting area
    • Application and workflow knowledge that allows for intelligent topic discussions with understanding of big picture integration
    • Ability to recognize impacts to the focus area and represent the topic in support of teammates during project meetings
