If you are looking for a position where you can be a part of a team that values quality nursing care and strong teamwork our unit might be just the place for you. We are a 36 bed Med-Surg Cardiac unit with a sub-specialty in vascular surgery post-op care. Our typical patient population includes post heart surgery patients (after a 24-48 hour stay in critical care), post op thoracic surgery patients as well as other vascular surgery patients. Job Summary

• • The Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Medical-Surgical nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.  

Job Requirements

• • Education
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
