  • Job Summary
    • The Electrical Team Lead provides oversite and direction of a team of in-house electricians while also providing electrical services, per district/local/State/Federal objectives and/or standards, with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment. The Electrical Team Lead under the direction of the his/her supervisor(s) responds to work requests timely and professionally; delegates and prioritizes the work of the electrical team; and completes work assignments as directed. This position may assist other Maintenance Mechanics in projects and ensures that tools and materials are available at the job site. The Electrical Team Lead may also be required to perform general maintenance in technical areas other than electrical when necessary. This position may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and approved by the supervisor(s).

    • Education
      • None
    • Experience
      • Preferred: 7 years working as a Master Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
      • Preferred: 3 years working as a Lead running a crew of electricians.
    • Skills
      • Knowledge of electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, timers, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhance and/or upgraded electrical capabilities and for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition
      • Working familiarity with MS Office products
      • Proficient communication skills
      • Ability to prioritize workload
      • Ability to analyze blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systescore: N/Am
      • Demonstrates proficient technical skills for the repair and general maintenance of facilities including, but not limited to:
        • Electrical wiring, devices, lighting and motors
        • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
        • Plumbing
        • Refrigeration units and ice machines
        • Air compressors and refrigerated air dryers
        • Air handlers, fans, and heat wheels
        • Chilled water and condenser pumps
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: Master Electrician License from City of Springfield or similar municipality.
      • Required: Active Driver's License
      • Required: STI Fire Stop Certified within 1 year of hire (provided by Cox yearly if not already certified)
      • Preferred: Operation of fork-lift
