Clinical Sys IT Educator I:
Job Summary
  • The Clinical Systems IT Educator functions as a clinical systems expert, consultant, educator, and evaluator to maintain and improve user adoption of clinical information systems.   As a Clinical Systems IT Educator you will utilize adult learning principles to implement a variety of teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content,  and context.  You will provide onboarding and ongoing education for clinical information systems for providers, nursing, ancillary, and other care team members as needed.  You will contribute to the development and delivery of evidence-based curriculum to improve staff understanding and utilization of clinical information systems. You will effectively manage education related to the implementation of existing and new technology within the health system in order to support clinical care team members.  You will positively promote change through effective change management skills.  You will collaborate with departments across the organization in order to maintain current knowledge of clinician educational needs in order to develop and maintain education content
     
     
Job Requirements
  • Education
  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in educational field, health science discipline, or related field
  • Experience
    • Required:  At least 3 years of clinical experience or previous experience with clinical information systems such as electronic health records
  • Preferred:  Previous teaching experience
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium Solutions
  • Skills
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Able to manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibit valuable time management skills
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills

You will manage ongoing relationships with end users, providing system management and clinical subject matter expertise, focusing on workflow success in utilizing technology solutions. You will assist in change management; help identify opportunities for improvement. You will leverage clinical and informatics knowledge to provide innovative solutions. You will collaborate across teams to plan and ensure appropriate communication and documentation is completed to implement and evaluate effectiveness of systems and services, to support high-quality workflows and application development.
