Job Summary

  • The Senior Financial Analyst I assists in managing the budget and financial planning functions for CoxHealth. Assists with budget development, provides budget education, and assists in system wide budget review and final budget preparation for the Board of Directors. Analyzes and implements margin improvement activities. Assists financial planning and strategy to improve?financial performance. Assists the Admin. Director of Finance as well as VP’s of Finance as requested. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Required: Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Related Field

Preferred: Master’s degree in Business of Healthcare Administration OR Masters of Business Administration

  • Experience
    • Required: Minimum 3 years experience in financial analysis or related field

Preferred: Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare finance/ accounting

  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of accounting principles
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
    • Knowledge of Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and database applications required
    • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize and coordinate the completion of multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner
    • Excellent systematic problem solving skills
    • Excellent computer skills required, including the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
    • Organized,  efficient time management, prioritization, and follow-through skills
    • Able to review and evaluate financial data and perform variance analysis.
