Job Summary

• The Education Manager is responsible for coordinating, teaching and developing various processes or programs that enhance the professional development of patient care staff within Cox Medical Group. Responsible for the continued growth of the Cox Medical Group Education Program through process improvement. The Education manager is committed to the development of others and being a positive change agent. Utilizes process and system thinking and long-term problem solving skills and collaborates with other areas to meet health system and regulatory agency requirements. The Education manager is responsible for engaging others through effective communication, teamwork and consensus building to build partnerships with stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Education
  • Required: Successful completion of accredited nursing program
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare related field
• Experience
  • Required: Five years of experience in a healthcare, clinical, or business setting

    Preferred: Management experience in a healthcare setting
• Skills
  • Able to manage multiple assignments/manage projects
  • Demonstrates initiative and proactive practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to utilize Adult Education Theory and the ADDIE (Assess, Design, Deliver, Implement, Evaluate) educational framework
  • Emphasis on safe care delivery; Emphasis on quality outcomes; Emphasis on education/ evidence-based research
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Required: Current License Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri 

    Required: IV certification within 6 months of hire

    Required: RN License within 2 years of hire
