Summary

Job Summary
- Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - Required: Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program.
  - Required: Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency.
  - Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
  - Required: 1-2 years related experience
- Skills
  - Good verbal and written communication skills
  - Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  - Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as excel, word, and power point
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
  - Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician/intern OR technician/intern application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days
  - Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization. No certification needed with a current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License
