Job Summary
- This position is responsible for assisting with patient throughput by facilitating bed placement for patients designate for admission, discharge, and transfer. Additional tasks include completing registration tasks, status changes, and called beds. The Bed Control Specialist works closely with the Patient Access Coordinator to assist with placement issues that may arise. Excellent communication skills and multi-tasking abilities are required.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
  - Preferred: Computer and keyboarding experience
- Skills
  - Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers
  - Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  - Excellent telephone skills
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
