Job Summary

This Physical Therapist (PT) will provide care within their scope of practice to a full variety of patient diagnosis to all ages, pediatric thru geriatric populations in a variety of settings to include Acute Care, IP Rehab/SNF/Orthopedics/SDS OP and Outpatient Services at Cox South and MORH. The PT will assists patients in returning to a normal pattern of movement and functioning as possible through the use of therapeutic exercise, activities and modalities. Patients are referred for medical and educational services as indicated. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and implementing prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including mobility, assistive devices, counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.

Job Requirements

Education
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy
Experience
- Required: At least 5 years of related experience
Skills
- Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required
- Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: License of Physical Therapy active in the state of Missouri
- Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
