Job Summary

This position reports to the Administrative Director of Pharmacy Services at CoxHealth. The individual will interact with business partners in Accounting, Pricing & Contracting, Market Access, and Market Finance. In addition, this position will actively participate in the Pharmacy Committee for our Group Purchasing Organization. The position requires a high degree of financial modeling and analysis, with an emphasis on evaluating and summarizing the results within the current business context. The position requires coordination / cooperation with many groups (both in and out of Pharmacy and Finance), sometimes with tight deadlines. The Pharmacy Business Manager will oversee the business, fiscal management, purchasing and inventory control functions of the system’s pharmacies and subsidiaries. The Pharmacy Business Manager will also participate in defining the department’s mission, planning and goal setting, budget preparation and adherence, and performance standards in order to assist in leading the department to the achievement of excellence in fiscal management, compliance, and pharmacy practice. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Preferred: Master of Business Administration or equivalent

Experience

  • Required: 3 years in financial support with responsibility for evaluating Net Revenue, Expense Control, as well as Cost Control of individual business units

Skills

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, other computer systems software, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment as necessary
  • Company/Industry Related Knowledge: Knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare commercial operations
  • Operational knowledge of federal and state law affecting the workplace
  • Demonstrates skills in critical thinking, conflict management, persuasion and change leadership

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Preferred: Certified Public Accountant
