Job Summary

    • The CVO Manager is responsible to develop, manage, and monitor the effectiveness of credentialing and enrollment processes and procedures that support the credentialing, re-credentialing, and data management. The CVO Manager’s core responsibilities include oversight of all credentialing functions including application management, primary source verification, and privileging processes.  Ensures compliance with the Federal and State laws, accrediting and regulatory agencies, and credentialing best practices.  Supervises credentialing staff in the day-to-day management of the overall CVO credentialing process and database management. 

Job Requirements

Education

  • Required: Associate Degree or High School Diploma AND 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field

Experience

Required:

    • 5 years working in a healthcare environment with 2 years medical staff credentialing

Preferred:

    • 2 years of management experience or equivalent
    • Credentialing software proficiency
    • Project management skills

 Skills

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to motivate people
    • Clear, concise writing and presentation skills
    • Ability to maintain fast pace and manage a diverse and demanding workload
    • Decisive and capable of exercising good judgment under pressure
    • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, providers, managers, and staff
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Licensure/Certification/Registration

    • Preferred: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist or Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management.
