Job Summary

The Insurance verification representative is responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility and effective date of coverage within a specific time frame. Ensures information is accurately entered into the patients account in a timely manner. Has extensive working knowledge of the insurance verification and the billing process required by payer source.

Job Requirements

Education
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
- - Required: One year Patient Financial Services experience
  - Preferred: Previous Insurance experience
Skills
- - Critical thinking
  - Excellent computer skills and strong aptitude to learn and maximize use of applications
  - Excellent telephone skills
  - Knowledge of effective problem solving techniques
  - Knowledge of the insurance verification process
