Job Summary

 

  • A registered or licensed professional who assumes responsibility for the development and coordination of lactation educational programs, projects and clinical services for The Women’s Center.

Job Requirements

 

  • Education
    • Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience
    • Preferred: Minimum 2 years clinical experience in maternal-child area with experience assisting breastfeeding families
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Prioritization and time management skills
    • Excellent computer and phone skills
    • Comprehensive understanding of principles of breastfeeding, nutritional requirements of infant and normal feeding behaviors
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: MO RN License AND BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
    • Required: IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or CBE (Certified Breastfeeding Educator) or must obtain within 2 years of hire.
