Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Credentialing Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of provider credentialing/re-credentialing and messaging functions. Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all managed care credentialing processes. Responsible for communicating provider information to payers and ensuring provider load data is accurate. Will oversee tertiary and affiliae-delegated credentialing entities for oversight. Will interact with physician offices, hospital billing office, patients, payers and other CoxHealth departments. Contract review of delegated credentialing agreements. Will be responsible for development and implementation and maintenance of credentialing systems, policies and procedures; will assist in the delegated credentialing audits for affiliate and tertiary entities. Will work with payers who perform delegated credentialing audits. Responsible for supervising the Credentialing Specialist and Independent Provider Specialist. Responsible for the CoxHealth Network databases and will ensure that a high degree of accuracy is maintained in the process for database maintenance.

    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years credentialing or relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, business, or related field.
      • Preferred: Bachelors in a Related Field

      • Strong organizational skills
      • Supervisory/leadership skills and experience
      • Proficient in all Microsoft programs, database/Cactus experience preferred
      • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management
      • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
      • Ability to write effective documentation on processes and procedures.
      • Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
