Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Simulation Coordinator is responsible to the Virtual Hospital Director for coordinating the day to day operations for Cox College’s Simulation Center. The Simulation Coordinator serves as a resource in running low- high fidelity simulation activities through the use of task trainers, patient simulators, virtual reality and standardized patients. The Simulation Coordinator supports student learning by answering questions, providing guidance and in some instances provide remediation, tutoring and assessment of skills within their scope of practice. This position has no responsibility for providing direct care to patients.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education:
       
      • Required: Associate's Degree
      • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
    • Experience:
       
      • Required: 2 years of experience with technology and simulation devices.
    • Skills:
       
      • Ability to quickly absorb technical details of new technologies
      • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently
      • Ability to analyze, prioritizes, and makes decisions related to coordination of equipment, supplies and general trouble shooting.
      • Strong organizational skills required for time management and to prioritize conflicting demands. Student service oriented with effective communication skills.
      • Dependable and flexible
      • Self motivated and willing to learn new skills
      • Ability to occasionally lift and use heavy or specialized medical equipment
