Summary

  • Job Summary
    • This position is responsible for the daily coordination and facilitation of patient throughput, and implementation of operational plans surrounding patient flow in relation to the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Addresses throughput issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care. Makes bed assignments taking into consideration operational, regulatory, patient safety, and infection prevention requirements. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem solving skills required.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Experience
      • Preferred: At least one year in area of specialization and management experience in the inpatient setting (i.e. charge nurse, assistant nurse manager) AND Five years of clinical experience
    • Skills
      • Excellent interpersonal communication and multitasking
      • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
      • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
      • Ability to efficiently use the electronic medical record and staff scheduling program.
      • Working knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management,
      • Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines.
      • Goal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development. Maintains organizational and priority setting skills.
      • Delegates appropriately to other team members
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • MO RN License
      • BLS must be obtained within 90 days
