Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Swing Bed Activities Coordinator is responsible for directing the Swing Bed Activity Program. Utilizes the whole person concept for treating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual conditions ensuring that the highest standard of personal care is maintained at all times. Assists nurses with patient care by collecting vital signs, performing basic patient care, and coordinating activities to meet swing patient’s needs. Has a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and is responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining and organizing all necessary equipment and supplies. Duties may include scheduling appointments, charging, compiling and copying medical charts, reports, answers phone, answers call lights and other duties as assigned.

      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience
      • No previous experience required

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Exhibits valuable time management skills
      • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
      • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: Must complete Missouri Association of Nursing Home Administrators Activity Director training course
      • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
