Summary

Job Summary
- A Prosthetist/Orthotist work with patients to regain their mobility by fitting them with artificial limbs (prostheses) and orthopedic braces (orthoses). The incumbent works in designing, making, fitting, modifying, repairing and maintaining O%tp% devices that make an immeasurable impact on an individual’s quality of life.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited School OR 3-5 years working in the Prosthetic and Orthotic field
- Experience
  - Preferred: At least 5 years working in the Prosthetic and Orthotic field
- Skills
  - Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools and machines effectively and safely.
  - Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
  - Strong interpersonal and verbal skills for communication with others.
  - Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  - Ability to multitask and work in high stress situations.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
  - Required: Prosthetic AND Orthotic Certification from ABC or BOC
  - BLS must be obtained within 90 days
