Summary

  • Job Summary
    • Reports directly to the supervisor of FDC Pulmonology. Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and evaluates patient care necessary for services to CoxHealth Pulmonary Artery Hypertension clinic clients. Interfaces with home agencies, hospitals and clinics to ensure continuity of care for clients of CoxHealth Pulmonary Artery Hypertension clinic. Serves as the clinical lead to all nursing and clinical support staff of CoxHealth Pulmonary Artery Hypertension clinic.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
      • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Experience
      • Preferred: Cardiac, Pulmonary Hypertension Artery, and Critical Care experience
    • Skills
      • Basic leadership qualities
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
      • Exhibits valuable time management skills
      • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
      • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
      • Able to provide ongoing education/mentoring of staff
      • Proficient in disease state and with all oral PAH therapies
      • Knowledgeable about the approval, initiation and maintenance of oral PAH therapies
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: MO RN license
      • Preferred: Active participant (Task Force Membership, Organizing/Steering Committee, Presenting/Speaking, etc.) in regional PH congresses and member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Professional Network (PHPN)
