Summary

Job Summary
  • The Physician Advisor serves as the link between Case Management and the medical staff. Responsible for providing on-going education about the rules of reimbursement. Provides physician-to-physician consultation for removing clinical risks and barriers to outcomes and transition to different levels of care. Responsible for preventing complications in the throughput of the patient from pre-admission to discharge.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: Graduate of a Medical/Osteopathic Graduate School AND completion of an Internship and Residency
  • Experience
    • No prior experience required
  • Skills
    • Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgment and decision-making
    • Problem solving
    • Critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and Personnel development
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: Licensed Physician in the state of Missouri AND DO board certified or board eligible
