Polysomnographic Tech III

• Job Summary
  • The Polysomnographic Tech interacts with patients, families, physicians, staff and equipment to document and treat suspected sleep disorders in a safe and caring environment. Responsible for patient set up, acquisition and starting the polysomnographic acquisition in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with physician orders. Executes scoring of testing parameters according to Department Standards and correctly implements treatment options for sleep apnea. This position demonstrates competency in all sleep test to include: Polysomnography, PAP titrations, Oxygen titrations, MSLT, MWT and HST.
• Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: High School Diploma
    • Preferred: Associates Degree in an allied health related field
  • Experience
    • Preferred: Minimum one year experienced as an RPSGT or RRT
  • Skills
    • Strong clinical decision making
    • Basic computer skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work independently
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: RPSGT or SDS OR registered through ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC
    • Preferred: REEGT or RRT
