Summary

  • Job Summary
    • A Registered Nurse in CMCB Pain and Neurology Clinic assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Obtains vital signs, accurate medication lists and compliance, social history, procedure history, and allergies in the electronic medical chart. Will obtain urine drug screens and assure accuracy for each individual specimen and enter the information into the EMR as directed. A RN assists the provider with entering orders and completing orders as directed. Will enter and complete medication refill requests after appropriate investigation has been completed and provider approval. Will answer telephone calls and return customer telephone calls within 48 hours and educates customers based on what orders are entered into the EMR as requested by the provider. A RN assists the provider and assures customer safety during all procedures.

    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
    • Experience
      • Required: None
      • Preferred: Previous nursing experience, especially in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
    • Skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
      • Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work.
      • Proficient Computer skills
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: Current Missouri Registered Nurse License
      • Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
