Job Summary
  • The Radiology Multi-Care Tech (MCT)/Scheduler is a vital member of the Radiology Care Unit team, and is involved in providing care to patients in all modalities of the Radiology Department: Computer Tomography (CT), Diagnostic Imaging (DX), Interventional Radiology (IR), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), and Ultrasound (US). The Radiology Care Unit functions as an independent nursing unit, providing care for Radiology patients. The Radiology Multi-Care Tech is responsible for assisting in preparing the patient for imaging or intervention in procedure, and also in recovering the patient afterwards. The MCT works under the direct supervision of the RN. Knowledge of the wide variety of procedures performed in Radiology is important to success in this position.
  • The scheduling portion of the job includes coordinating patient scheduling to maximize Radiologist productivity and minimize patient wait time. Integration of all Radiology departments into the schedule is a priority. The Scheduler must be able to see the big picture of the department and not be sidetracked by individual requests and concerns.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • Required: A minimum of 1 year hospital or clinic experience
  • Skills
    • Must be able to work in all areas of the department, including MRI.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire
