Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Analyst II is responsible for functions related to revenue cycle process evaluation and financial reporting and analysis.  He/she must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to take a highly proactive role in recognizing inefficiencies, issues, and opportunities.  He/she must be able to present findings and recommendations to leaders and other stakeholders in a consultative manner.  
 
The Revenue Cycle Analyst II is expected to demonstrate advanced skill in the use and understanding of operational computer applications as well as data-mining tools and in the analysis of data to monitor and evaluate performance. Some key areas of focus (not limited to) may include payer billing rules, coding processes, reimbursement, payer performance, and outsource vendor performance.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, Finance, or Related Field OR 10 years of related experience.  
Experience
Preferred: A minimum of 2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or some type of financial analysis role is preferred; although will accept applicants with demonstrated skills without prior work experience (i.e. college graduate with practice and expertise in data analytics)
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present and interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work collaboratively as either a facilitator or participant on projects that involve multiple stakeholders, while promoting positive and effective working relations.
Ability to inform and educate others on procedures and concepts.
Ability to write effective summary level documentation for clear and concise communication of data analyzed.
Highly proficient in all aspects of the PC and standard applications.
Highly proficient in Excel with ability to create, modify and trouble-shoot spreadsheets for data analytics.
Strong analytical skills to be able to analyze complex data, processes and functions of technology.
Highly productive in a self-directed manner with ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, track status efficiently, and demonstrate defensible judgement in making independent decisions.
Ability to learn and become proficient in Advanced SQL, Crystal and ACL for use in analytics and advanced report writing.
Effective time management and prioritization skills to permit handling of a large workload across multiple projects and multiple departments.
