Job Summary
The Supportive Care Advisor receives and assigns incoming requests for home care services that involve CoxHealth at Home service lines. They provide thorough explanation of supportive services available to clients and family members. Screen the appropriateness of referrals and coordinate the initiation of services. The Supportive Care Advisor creates the necessary documentation to begin services, and provide support for departmental personnel to organize and expedite work flows.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Continued education in administrative office work/medical office work
Experience
Preferred: Minimum six (6) months of experience working in a Home Health Agency, medical office, or social work setting.
Skills
Working knowledge of computers including data entry, word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
Demonstrates ability to work effectively and maintain expected productivity in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrates reliability and follow-through on all assigned tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Takes initiative to present ideas/suggestions to management using proactive problem solving approach.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Third party medical Insurance reimbursement guidelines.
Demonstrates consciousness of actions in quality and accuracy of work, being honest and forthright about all work related information.
