Job Summary

The Prior Authorization Coordinator collaborates with the Care Transition Navigator within the physician clinics, as well as members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate progression of care for the prescribed specialty medications or other home care needs that require prior authorization.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience
Preferred: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the past 3 years as a professional nurse in a hospital or home care setting
Preferred: Previous insurance and intake experience
Preferred: Supervisory experience
Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to be genuine and empathetic
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with attention to detail
Computer skills
Ability to interact professionally and contribute to the interdisciplinary team
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: Current RN License in the state of Missouri
