Summary
Life is precious, and maybe no time in life is more precious than then end of life – for patients, and for those they love. Rather than working to cure or fix patients, hospice nurses work with skill and compassion helping to ensure terminally ill or dying patients have comfort and quality of their remaining days. As part of an interdisciplinary team, Medical Social Workers assess, plan, and care for patients while providing loved ones with guidance and support. CoxHealth at Home considers home care is a calling, and that providing end-of-life care as both an honor and privilege for those who serve as Hospice Medical Social Workers.
