Food Service Assistant
  • Job Summary
    • The Food Service Assistant works behind the scenes to provide high quality food for the patients, staff, and other customers.  In the hospital setting Nutrition is crucial to the healing process, the Food Service Assistant serves a vital role in helping patients with this healing process.  Performing preparation and delivery of food with a high standard of quality and sanitation.  Additional duties will include customer service, serving, cleaning and sanitation.  A high level of customer service to internal and external customers, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude is required.

    • Education
      • None Required
      • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
    • Experience
      • 2+ years experience in food service, general cleaning, and sanitation preferred
    • Skills
      • Basic reading and writing skills and able to do simple math
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Able to follow directions and work together as a team player
      • Able to stand for long periods of time
      • Able to move quickly
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration

Dietetic Assistant
  • Job Summary
    • Responsible for nutritional care and follow up of patients and communicating information appropriately to other health professional.  Requires excellent customer service skills, a self starter, and a positive attitude.

    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
      • Preferred: Bachelors degree from an accredited 4-year university
      • Prefer education in nutrition and dietetics
    • Experience
      • Prefer experience in nutrition and dietetics
    • Skills
      • Basic reading and writing skills and able to do simple math
      • Basic computer skills
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Able to follow directions and work together as a team player

Job Summary
  • Performs daily work routines and assignments as delegated. Prepares and cooks food for hospital patients, staff, visitors, and other functions. Maintains high standards of quality in food production and sanitation.
