Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Oncology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care specializing in the administration of chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments as prescribed. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, evaluation, education, and support for the patient and family. The Oncology Registered Nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, the care and management of central lines and implanted ports.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
      • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Experience
      • Preferred: Previous nursing experience
    • Skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
      • Exhibits valuable time management skills
      • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
      • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: MO RN license
      • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
