Summary

  • Job Summary
    • The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for provider credentialing and re-credentialing functions, including but not limited to, independent and integrated provider credentialing and oversight of affiliate and tertiary credentialing. The Credentialing Specialist will have interaction with multiple internal and external customers. Will assist in the implementation and maintenance of credentialing systems and processes. Will work in any applicable credentialing software and databases. Will assist in the creation and running of reports from the applicable data base. Must be very detail oriented and produce work product with a high degree of accuracy. Prefer prior provider credentialing experience, good writing skills, previous Access data base or Cactus experience, experience with creating power point presentations.

    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
      • Preferred: Bachelors in a Related Field
    • Experience
      • Required: 1-2 years healthcare experience
      • Preferred: provider credentialing experience
    • Skills
      • Strong organizational skills
      • Proficient in all Microsoft programs, database experience preferred
      • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management
      • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
      • Ability to write effective documentation on processes and procedures.
      • Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
