System Director of Pharmacy

CoxHealth is seeking an experienced System Director of Pharmacy. This position provides overall system leadership direction and management for all pharmacy associated functions. The director provides oversight and management of pharmacy operational, regulatory, clinical, and business processes across the system. This position interfaces with executive health system leadership. The position leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. The director defines the department mission, oversees planning and goal setting, budget preparation and adherence, and meeting all performance standards. Sustains professional competence and promotes development through participation in in-services, workshops, seminars and professional organizations.

Job Requirements

Education

• Required: Bachelors of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited college of Pharmacy
• Preferred: Master’s degree or within 2 years of obtaining a Master’s degree AND Completion of an ASHP accredited residency

Experience

• Required: 5 Years Hospital Pharmacy Leadership Experience
• Preferred: 1-2 Years Managerial/Supervisory Experience

Skills

• Operational knowledge of federal and state law affecting the workplace
• Demonstrates skills in critical thinking, conflict management, persuasion and change leadership
• Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, other computer systems software, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment as necessary

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Medication Therapy Services Certification within 90 days of hire
• Required: Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and obtains licensure within 90 days of hire.
