Job Summary
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing care delivery and professional practice model at CoxHealth. Identifies gaps in health care delivery. Assists with designing and implementing interventions to improve care. Provides expertise and support to nurses caring for patients in order to drive practice changes and improvement throughout the organization. Act as a change agent and influencer to remove care barriers and implement evidence-based strategies for care improvement, patient safety, and improved quality. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem-solving skills required.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

      Required: Masters of Science in Nursing or in a healthcare related field (if in progress completion expected within 24 months)

      Preferred: Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)         

  • Experience
    • Required: 3 - 5 years’ previous hospital or nursing management experience
  • Skills
    • Adept project management skills including communication, use of project management tools, communication, planning and evaluation
    •  
      Experienced change agent with knowledge of change management process
    • Represents the departments on several process improvement, standardization, and regulatory committees
    • Ability to shape and implement a vision of nursing practice using evidence-based practice
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to details
    • Passion for teaching/learning, lifelong learning and excellence, which elevates the abilities and competencies of various patient care providers
    • Operates strategic plan by setting and monitoring key performance measures and goals
    • Passionate about nursing practice and its effect on the delivery of patient care
    • Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines
    • Delegates appropriately to other team members
    • Highly visible, driven and charismatic leader of nursing practice and innovation with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: Nursing License active in the state of Missouri
      Preferred: Missouri Advanced Practice License and Certification
