Summary

** This RN will float among Emergency Department units at multiple hospital location. Hiring incentives are available to qualified candidates, including; sign-on bonus, additional earned time off, and relocation reimbursement.
  • Job Summary
  • Float nurse duties include assessing, planning, evaluating and implementing patient care in accordance with accepted standards of practice and organizational policy, administering medications and treatments, performing documentation and providing education to patients and families. Float Pool Nurses are assigned throughout the system and have varying schedules and unit assignments. The float nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
      • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Experience
      • Preferred: Previous nursing experience
    • Skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
      • Exhibits valuable time management skills
      • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
      • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: MO RN license
      • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
