  • Job Summary
    • Responsible/accountable for supervising the billing/coding team for daily coding, review and data entry of physician charges, both inpatient and outpatient. Must provide insight to denied claims and create workflows to decrease or eliminate denials. Must have the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience
      • Required: 2 years medical office/billing experience with 1 year supervisory / leadership experience
    • Skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
      • Medical Terminology
      • Utilizes computer and appropriate software effectively.
      • Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
      • Proficient in CPT/HCPCS coding, ICD, Medicare guidelines, medical terminology and claims processing.
      • Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
      • Insurance claims experience
      • Denial Management
      • Reconciliation of claims
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: CCS, CPC or RHIT Certification
