Summary

  • Job Summary
    • This Lead Night Sleep Lab interactS with patients, families, physicians, staff and equipment to document and treat suspected sleep disorders in a safe and caring environment. Responsible for properly completing patient set-up and beginning the sleep study in a timely and efficient manner. Reviews patients’ charts and orders in timely manner and provides staff with patient assignments for the night. Correctly executes scoring of test results according to Department Standards and implements treatment options for sleep apnea. The Lead assigns workloads for staff members in a fair order and equitable manner. This lead position is the liaison between the night staff and Manager. Completes special projects or duties within the designated time frame, as assigned by the System Manager.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
      • Preferred: Associates Degree in Science or a related field
    • Experience
      • Required: Previous experience as an RPSGT
      • Preferred: Experience in both RPSGT and RRT
    • Skills
      • Strong clinical decision making
      • Basic computer skills
      • Strong communication skills
      • Strong leadership ability
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: RPSGT or SDS
      • Preferred: RRT and/or REEGT
